Doing calculations on a computer at ENIAC, they could achieve results much faster and with fewer errors.

Earlier time computers like the ENIAC used vacuum tubes for its process like large size rooms and only found in businesses, universities, or governments institution. Later, using transistors computers become smaller and cheaper parts which help the ordinary person to buy and own a computer.

Today, with the invention of smartphones, we carry more computing power available in these early models.

The history of computers is a timeline of how computers evolved from their beginnings to the smart machines of today that surf the Internet, play games, and stream multimedia.

1801: In France, Joseph Marie Jacquard invents a loom based the machine which was used for punched wooden cards to automatically weave fabric designs.

1822: English mathematician legend Charles Babbage creates a steam-based calculating machine that would be able to compute tables of numbers.

1890: Herman Hollerith designs a punch card system for calculating the 1880 census.

He has complete the task in three years and saving the government’s $5 million.

The letter he has established a computer company that would ultimately become tech giant IBM.

1936: Alan Turing discover the notion of a universal machine, later it becomes known the Turing machine, which is capable of computing anything that is computable.

The concept of the latest modern computer was based on Alan Turing's ideas.

1937: in this year's professor of Iowa state university J.V. Atanasoff attempts to build the first computer without using gears, cams, belts, or shafts.

1939: According to the Computer History Museum, Hewlett-Packard is founded in this year by David Packard and Bill Hewlett in a Palo Alto, California.

1941: Atanasoff and his graduate student, Clifford Berry, design a computer that can solve simultaneously 29 equations.
